Spawner Records is once again releasing a compilation CD this summer that will be given away absolutely FREE across North America at this summer's Warped Tour dates, Tom Fest, and other major music festivals and events - including Europe! The CD will be advertised and reviewed in fanzines and magazines worldwide. Last year Spawner Records pressed 2000 copies of Give Us A Break! This year Spawner plans to press 3000 copies of Give Us A Break! 2. Spawner Records is asking for and a song - approximately three minutes or under in length. The CD will also have a multi-media section so send Spawner Records your information (website address, etc). There is a limited amount of space so please get your submissions in fast! The deadline is May 31st, 2001... so get on it! You can send your cheque, money order, or well concealed cash payable to Spawner Records...

Blackie Lawless is pissed off and he wants you know to about it! While never shy with his opinion, Blackie has saved most of his fire and rhetoric from interviews and soundbytes. No more, with Unholy Terror Blackie lets loose like never before and produces possible the band's best album since âœThe Last Command.â
Tracks like âœLet it Roarâ, "Unholy Terror", "Europia" and "Raven Heart" retain the classic W.A.S.P. feel but it doesnâ™t suffer from sounded dated like so many 80â™s metal bands who are still putting out new music.
Blackieâ™s voice still commands the listener's attention with itâ™s growling venom but instead of talking about sex, Blackie uses his voice here to get a few things off his chest about politics and religion. You may not agree with what Mr. Lawless has to say but you have to respect the delivery. Chris Holmes as usual showcases his six string skills with precision, laying down some of the tastiest leads of his career.

Despite the tragic deaths at last year's Roskilde Festival, the Denmark show will go on this year, with several major artists set to perform at the June 28-July 1 event.
Guns 'N Roses, Tool, Beck, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Robbie Williams and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are all on the bill, according to festival organizers. Sweden's Hammerfall and Hâkan Hellström, Denmark's Filur, Ireland's JJ72, Norway's Mayhem and England's Ski Oakenfull also are tapped for the event, to be held at a field 30 miles from Copenhagen.
This year's festival follows one of the most disastrous concerts in history — nine people were crushed to death during a performance by Pearl Jam. There were reports of poor communication among volunteer security guards at the front of the stage where the trampling occurred. Roskilde officials held several investigations, and festival organizers were not found responsible for the incident. Promoters have promised to improve safety at this year's event and have outlined their plans on their official Web site (www.roskilde-festival.dk). First staged in 1970, the Roskilde Festival is the world's longest-running outdoor music event and has attracted as many as 90,000 people.
